An artist repurposes a historic escalator to create a mind-bending installation that feels like a dream (15 Pics)

Dream historic escalator: Australia is recognised for its strange wildlife and venomous snakes, but not for its architecture (except the Opera house). This unique installation aims to place the continent/country in the books of the most travelling photographers in the strange architecture.

The Wynyard station exhibit (Sydney), which appears like it was cropped out of “Inception” and dumbed down in the midst of Australia’s business capital, is winning the hearts of Sydney residents and visitors.

This ceiling artwork, titled “Interloop,” weighs more than 5 tonnes and was built from components of the old wooden escalator on the site before it was destroyed to make room for a more modern steel replacement.
