Dave Allen was a popular Irish stand-up comedian. His other name was David Tynan O’Mahony. Born in Dublin, Ireland on 6th July 1936. He was a known person of his calm voice, quick thinking and relaxed manner. He would be sitting on a chair with a cigarette and a drink in hand and discussing with the audience. The way he was was simple, clever and different from a lot of the comedians of the times. Dave Allen was the son of a creative and educated family. His father, Gerard O’Mahony, was an important newspaper editor and a journalist.
