Sometimes life throws you a little bit of unexpected luck, like finding a bargain that feels too good to be true. But what happens when that “lucky deal” turns into a nightmare of threats, insults, and accusations? That’s exactly what happened to me after I bought a computer for $89 at a pawn shop, only to receive a furious call from the manager demanding I either return it or cough up hundreds of dollars more. Now I’m left wondering: did I really do something wrong, or am I just being bullied for their mistake?

The Big Question

Let’s find out what other Redditors think about this story.

At the end of the day, I didn’t mislabel the price, I didn’t try to scam anyone, and I have proof of a legitimate purchase. Still, the threats and intimidation from the pawn shop have left me second-guessing myself. Was I truly in the wrong for keeping the computer I paid for fair and square, or is the store just trying to push the blame onto me for their own error?
