AITA for making making my old age husband stay in the basement?

Some situations in marriage test the limits of patience, trust, and respect—and mine was just pushed past the breaking point. What was supposed to be a simple father–son bonding night for my son’s 21st birthday spiraled into something I never could have imagined. When secrets came out, I felt blindsided, betrayed, and angry beyond words. Now, my husband is banished to the basement (or out of the house entirely), my son won’t talk to me, and I’m left questioning if I overreacted or if I was finally justified in drawing the line.

Let’s find out what other Redditors think about this story.

At the end of the day, I can’t shake the hurt of having something so inappropriate brought into my own home under the guise of “bonding.” Maybe my husband and son see nothing wrong with it, but to me, it crossed a boundary that I can’t just overlook. I know they’re grown men who can make their choices, but I’m allowed to make mine too. So here I am, stuck between feeling like the villain of the story—or finally standing up for the respect I deserve.
