WIBTA if I told my mom that her dogs are the only ones not allowed on family vacation?

Family vacations are supposed to be about bonding, laughter, and making memories, not guarding your food like you’re living in the wilderness. But in my case, my mom’s two small but feral food-obsessed dogs have turned every gathering into absolute chaos. From stolen pizzas to shredded bags of meat, these little furry thieves have left a trail of destruction in their wake. Now that I’ve planned a cabin getaway for my family, I’m stuck with a tough decision: do I risk the dogs destroying everything, or do I finally put my foot down and ban them from the trip?

My Sister’s Suggestion vs. Reality

Let’s find out what other Redditors think about this story.

I love my mom, and it breaks my heart that she always seems to choose her dogs over me. But at the end of the day, I can’t let her pets ruin what’s supposed to be a fun, relaxing vacation for everyone else. I’ve tried being patient, I’ve tried setting boundaries, and I’ve tried trusting her to manage them, but time and time again, they’ve proven uncontrollable. So, am I the bad guy if I tell my mom that her dogs simply can’t come this time?
