AITA for telling my sister no when she asked to have my house despite knowing she has more children/needs more space?

Family and inheritance can bring out the absolute worst in people. What starts as love and support often turns into entitlement, demands, and accusations. That’s exactly what I’m dealing with right now. My late mother’s house was always a sensitive topic, but I thought the matter had been settled years ago. I never expected that, after building my own life and finally starting a family of my own, my sister would demand something so outrageous that it’s now tearing the family apart.

Time to see how Reddit weighs in on this drama.

Now, I’m left questioning myself. I don’t feel like I should have to give up my home just because my sister chose to have more children, but the guilt trips from relatives have been relentless. Was I too harsh in how I responded to her, or am I justified in drawing a line and refusing to give up the house my husband and I built our life in? At the end of the day, I can’t help but wonder—am I really the bad guy here, or is my sister crossing a boundary that never should’ve been touched?

What do you think?
