AITA for calling the cops on a teenager who tracked down my house and was demanding I let him in?

Boundaries exist for a reason, especially when it comes to protecting yourself and your family. What some might dismiss as “just a teenage crush” felt far more alarming when a boy I barely knew tracked down my home, showed up uninvited, and refused to leave. With my young daughter inside, I had to make a decision—and fast. Now I’m being told I overreacted, but was I really wrong to call the cops?

Let’s find out what other Redditors think about this story.

Looking back, I don’t regret listening to my instincts. A stranger—no matter how young—crossed a line by invading my privacy and ignoring my requests to leave. I didn’t want to ruin his life, but I also wasn’t about to risk mine or my daughter’s safety. Maybe others think I went too far, but to me, protecting my home and my child will always come first.
